Guilin's popular public-benefit "One-Yuan Theater" performance featuring exquisite classic Guiju Opera excerpts will take place at the Guangxi Provincial Art Museum on July 17 and 18, bringing authentic traditional local opera art to citizens and tourists.
Tickets will be available both online and offline starting at 10 am on July 15.
Audiences can purchase tickets through the official WeChat account of the Guilin bureau of culture, radio, television and tourism, Guilin Lijiang Opera House and gain admission with valid ticket codes. Offline ticket purchases are also available at the on-site ticket office of the Guangxi Provincial Art Museum.
Hosted by the People's Government of Guilin and co-organized by the Publicity Department of CPC Guilin Municipal Committee and the Guilin bureau of culture, radio, television and tourism, the event is performed by the Guilin Drama Creation and Research Center.
This performance features three well-known local opera repertoires, namely Pick Up the Jade Bracelet, Battle at Xiaoshang River and The Drunken Concubine.
Bridging traditional opera art and the general public, the activity enriches people's cultural life, enabling traditional opera art to truly integrate into everyday urban life and bolstering the development of cultural tourism in Guilin.
