Dressed in Zhixin High School uniforms, the Swedish students were happy to join their Guangzhou peers on a tour of the Pearl River on distinctive red boats. They also attended some Cantonese Opera shows and participated in some birthday party celebrations.

Last September, Zhixin High School sent 15 students to Berzeliusskolan School for an exchange activity, and the Guangzhou students established close relationships with their Swedish peers while living with local families. They visited local museums, attended courses, and participated in outdoor classes. Now, Berzeliusskolan School has sent a student delegation to Guangzhou to learn about the Guangdong capital and Cantonese culture.

The year 2017 marked the 20th anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Guangzhou and Linkoping. That same year, Zhixin High School signed a cooperation agreement with Berzeliusskolan School establishing their sister-school bond, which was expected to increase cross-cultural communication and educational exchanges.
