The 2023 Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament was held on June 17 on the Pearl River section between the North Gate Square of Sun Yat-sen University and the Guangzhou Bridge.
Chinese sprinter Su Bingtian struck the gong for the Tournament at the opening ceremony in the afternoon, unveiling the curtain of the finals in this event.
A total of 125 dragon boat teams with around 5,000 athletes participated in the Tournament. The athletes are from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, foreign consulates and chambers of commerce in Guangzhou, universities, sister cities, and counterpart cities.

Preliminaries and semifinals were held in the morning, while the launching ceremony, finals and award ceremony were held in the afternoon. A team from Haizhu District won the first prize of Men's 600-meter category for 22-person dragon boats (Open Group).
