Baiyun sub-district builds cooperation with 28 firms
An investment promotion fair and key project signing ceremony was held on Nov 27 in Jingxi sub-district in Baiyun district of Guangzhou, capital of South China’s Guangdong province. The sub-district inked agreements with 28 firms in bio-medicine, metal materials, aviation transport, auto retail, financing and investment, and archive services.

Those in attendance included Southern Medical University’s National University Science Park, Di’an Diagnostics Technology Group, Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holdings Group, Guangzhou Chuangzhi Investment Holdings Group, Beijing WeMed Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Zongheng Dapeng Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. The total amount of their investment combined will surpass 12 billion yuan ($1.88 billion) and the annual output value of relevant projects is estimated to reach 35 billion yuan (roughly $5.49 billion).

Xiao Weichi, an official from Jingxi sub-district, said the tentative agreements cover emerging industries and public interest programs that conform to national industrial development, as well as Jingxi’s development orientation and industrial layout.
Jingxi is located in the central area of Guangzhou and is adjacent to the Tianhe CBD. It is a major area for the development of the modern service industry and high-end medical and educational sectors in eastern Guangzhou and serves as one of the key links in the construction of the Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Xiao said that to better position itself as a technological and innovative center for the bio-pharmaceutical industry in Baiyun, Jingxi will focus on the development of basic research, creative incubation and technological application in the bio-pharmaceutical sector, as well as the health management and healthcare industries, and make intensified efforts to build a modern industrial cluster featuring healthcare and modern services and upgrade the local industrial structure.
This year, Jingxi leveraged existing industrial parks to attract the settlement of more candidate firms and further stimulate its development vitality amid overall investment promotion and high-quality growth.
To comprehensively participate in the building of a scientifically creative gateway for the beauty and health sector in eastern Baiyun, Jingxi will center on AI-supported diagnosis, brain-inspired intelligence, internet-related medicare and high-end medicine in the construction of an advanced creative platform.
