As one of the eight industrial parks planned by Baiyun, it aims to develop the district's rail transit industry to the scale of over 100 billion yuan ($15.75 billion).
The area is set to develop itself into a green intelligent rail transit equipment industrial park, a high-end equipment manufacturing base and a city-industry integration green park.

The area is planned to consist of two corridors, one stripe, one center, and five clusters. More specifically, they refer to the Xinjie River Ecology Landscape Corridor and Guangqing Expressway Green Corridor, a waterfront leisure and recreation area with Yuejin River connecting residential clusters, industrial clusters and green corridors, an industrial park service center between residential and industrial clusters to provide business, public transportation, culture, and sports services, as well as three industrial clusters and two residential clusters.
With a planned floor area of 327.76 hectares, including 142.07 hectares for the first phase, the park is projected to develop intelligent electrical apparatus for rail equipment. Leading sectors in the park will be equipment manufacturing industries for rail transit, clean energy, new energy and environmental protection.
