Guangzhou COVID-19 Update for July 11
On July 11, Guangzhou reported 3 local confirmed cases, 1 imported confirmed case and 2 imported asymptomatic cases.
As of 24:00 July 11, 2022, a total of 6,261 positive cases have been reported in the city. These include 2,988 confirmed cases (2,025 imported cases and 963 local cases), among which, 61 cases are still being treated in hospital; and 3,273 asymptomatic cases (3,014 imported cases and 259 local cases), among which, 26 cases are still under medical observation.
The 1st patient is a 40-year-old Chinese man who lives in Yihe Lane, Jingxi Subdistrict, Baiyun District, and was detected in the PCR testing conducted for people in risk areas.
The 2nd patient is a 26-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Dalang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District, and was detected in the PCR testing conducted for close contacts under quarantine.
The 3rd patient is a 40-year-old Chinese woman who lives in Cuicheng Garden, Nanshitou Subdistrict, Haizhu District, and was detected in the PCR testing conducted for close contacts under quarantine.
All these patients were transferred to Guangzhou No. 8 People's Hospital for quarantine and treatment after testing positive for COVID-19. Their conditions are stable. Identified close contacts and secondary close contacts have been quarantined. Places with exposure risks have been cordoned off and disinfected.
From noon, July 11 to noon, July 12, seven local infections were detected among close contacts and people in risk areas in Guangzhou, 4 in Baiyun, two in Haizhu and one in Zengcheng. So far Guangzhou has reported 18 local cases since the outbreak started on July 8.
According to epidemiological investigation results, the following key sites have been identified:
Baiyun District:

Tianhe District:
Chuanji Chaofa Beef Hotpot (Easyhome Branch), Xiangzi Ice Cream Roll (Longdong Branch), Yitou Xianniu Chaoshan Beef Hotpot;
Haizhu District:
Feicuixuan, Tianfu Fish Cuisine, Changgang Middle Road Primary School (Cuicheng Campus), Guoshu Fresh Fruit (Cuibao Road Branch).
New risk zones designated in Baiyun and Zengcheng
According to the Notification of Baiyun District COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center (No. 56) published today, some areas of Baiyunhu Subdistrict and Jingxi Subdistrict have been designated as high-risk, medium- and low-risk zones. The details are as follows:
1. Two high-risk zones
(1) Baiyunhu Subdistrict: The area encircled by Lane 2 of Sangxia Street in the north, Sangxia Street in the east, ROOM JC02488 in the west, Huang Ancestral Hall in the south.
(2) Jingxi Subdistrict: No. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 12-1, 13, 14, 15, 16, 16-1, 17, 18, 19 of Yihe Lane.
2. Three medium-risk zones (except high-risk zones)
(1) Baiyunhu Subdistrict: The area encircled by Lane 3 of Sangxia Street in the north, Sangxia Street in the east, Lane 4 of Tanjia Street in the west, the fence of Dalang Middle School in the south.
(2) Jingxi Subdistrict: The area encircled by Jingxi Road in the north, No. 1-1 of Yihe 2nd Lane in the south, Shatai Road in the east, No. 15 of Shanhe Lane in the west.
(3) Shops north of Jingxi Ancient Road, south of Jingxi Road and west of Shatai Road. Buildings No. 2, 3, 4, 5 of Zhuyuan Community.
3. One low-risk zone
Dalang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict (except high- and medium-risk zones).
According to the Notification Regarding Risk-Based Differentiated Control Measures on Certain Areas of Yongning Subdistrict in Zengcheng District (No. 26, 2022), one positive case was found on July 11 in the PCR testing conducted for key groups in Zengcheng. In accordance with the COVID-19 containment requirements, the District has designated some areas of Phoenix Town Community, Yongning Subdistrict as high-, medium- and low-risk zones from July 11, 2022.
1. High-risk zones: No. 2 to 6, 18th Street, No. 9 to 12, 20th Street, Fengcuiyuan Community.
2. Medium-risk zones: The area encircled by 18th Street, Fengcuiyuan Community in the north, 22th Street, Fengcuiyuan Community in the south, Youyuan path in the west (adjacent to 2nd street), and Youyuan path in the east (adjacent to 31st street).
3. Low-risk zones: The area encircled by Phoenix Town Avenue 1-3 south of roundabout and Guangyuan Expressway.
