2 Baiyun key road projects receive approval for land use
Two key road projects in Baiyun district were recently approved for land use, which is expected to speed up the construction process of the projects and improve the traffic situation in north Baiyun.
The 1.88-kilometer Xingfu Avenue, the first municipal road project approved in Baiyun since the recent COVID-19 outbreaks this year, is divided into north and east sections. Its main road is a dual six-lane urban trunk road with a planned width of 36 meters.

After completion, the road will bring a more convenient transportation option for teachers and students in the Zhongluotan Higher Vocational Park area.
The Guanghua first-level highway is a vital traffic artery connecting Baiyun district and downtown Guangzhou. A project for the highway's underground comprehensive pipelines and the "fast-pass" renovation is currently underway at the S114 section in northern Guangzhou.

A 15.8-km underground pipe system will be laid along the east side of the roads, starting from Xiahua No 1 Road in Baiyun district in the south and ending at Middle Yayao Road in Huadu district in the north. The pipes will be buried at an average depth of 3.8 meters, which is conducive to improving the urban environment.
A district bureau of planning and natural resources bureau official said that the district has remained devoted to optimizing the procedures of land use and approval items.
