New landmark building to open in north Baiyun

China Communications Construction (CCCC) Baiyun Building, a comprehensive headquarters building built by CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering, has passed completion acceptance and is expected to be put into use by the end of 2022, local media outlets reported on Aug 20.
With a floorage of 22,700 square meters and a total investment of about 320 million yuan ($47 million), the building is the first project completed by a State-owned enterprise listed among the Fortune Global 500 to settle in the Design Capital of Guangzhou in Baiyun.
Yang Xiaonan, project manager of the building, said the 49.6-meter-tall building is divided into 10 floors above ground and two underground ones. The first floor is for commercial use, the second to 10th floors are for office use, and the basement will be used as a garage.
The building is expected to generate an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan after opening in 2023. It has now recruited property management personnel and attracted influential institutions like CCCC South China Financial to settle in.
Once operational, the building plans to not only enhance the popularity of the Design Capital of Guangzhou, but also promote the agglomeration development of the architectural design industry in Baiyun.
