South China Book Festival opens distinctive book venues in Baiyun

The 2022 South China Book Festival and the Yangcheng Book Fair, opened on Aug 19 and will last until Aug 28, bringing cultural reading feasts to local residents.
The book festival has one online venue, 16 characteristic venues, 53 offline sub-venues, and several reading demonstration sites, further integrating its offerings both online and offline.
Baiyun's Yunjing book center, which is decorated with the elements of Chinese opera, shadow plays, the guzheng, or Chinese zither, and the dragon and lion dances, integrates ancient customs, art and history to create a themed event with a diversified traditional Chinese style.
In addition, the book center set up special areas for poetry, calligraphy and painting publications, Chinese revolutionary red culture publications as well as ancient-style literature publications.
It also established special themed exhibition booths for cultural and creative products with traditional Chinese style, as well as books written by contemporary literature authors to meet the interests of readers of different ages.
During the festival, participating bookstores are offering up to 20 percent discounts on all books. Terms, conditions and limitations may be applied.
