The first phase of the Design Capital of Guangzhou will start operations on Aug 31 after over three years of construction. 

Covering a total area of 500 mu (33 hectares) and a floorage of 800,000 square meters, the Phase I project will go to the design enterprises' headquarters, aiming to become the largest design industry cluster in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Located in the central business area of Guangzhou's Baiyun district, west of Baiyun Mountain and east of Baiyun Lake, the Design Capital of Guangzhou has topped off 25 buildings and has transferred 13 of the 15 State-owned land lots. 

In addition, the Design Capital of Guangzhou is home to high-quality enterprises' headquarters such as CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering, Glodon, Oppein and Adolph. Once operational, it is expected to generate a tax revenue of more than 2 billion yuan ($289.15 million) and an annual output value of 30 to 50 billion yuan.
