Guangzhou's Baiyun district held a cultural festival on Sept 26 to celebrate the harvest and promote farming culture while displaying its rural vitalization achievements.

The festival has gathered various Baiyun goods such as characteristic agricultural products, special dishes, characteristic homestays, intangible cultural heritages, poverty alleviation products and traditional handicrafts, which were very popular among the attendees.

Liu Yujian, one of the exhibitors, said that Baiyun has provided enterprises with significant technical guidance and preferential policies to support their continuous development for a long time.

Baiyun has focused on building a modern urban agricultural demonstration zone since implementing its rural vitalization plan.

In 2021, the district achieved a total agricultural output value of about 6.39 billion yuan ($892 million), and cultivated a total of 49 leading agricultural enterprises above the municipal level, ranking first in Guangzhou.
