Guangzhou's Baiyun district has been home to 296 provincial-level small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) featuring specialized, elaborative, characteristic, and emerging products and services, local media reported on March 7.

Additionally, Baiyun has initially formed an innovative development pattern of one leading manufacturer, 10 "little giant" enterprises, and 426 innovative enterprises, covering fields such as biomedicine and health, software and information services, new-generation information technology, and cutting-edge new materials.

Baiyun plans to cultivate a number of SMEs with the district's industrial characteristics by building a comprehensive cultivation system for high-quality enterprises that are involved with technology, finance, talent and market.
