Baiyun district has built an air economic corridor to connect domestic and foreign cities for the construction of the Guangzhou Airport Economic Demonstration Zone, an international aviation hub and an agglomeration of its aviation industry.

For building a transportation hub, the district has stepped up efforts to develop its airport economic zone in the northern area, and promoted the establishment of an airport bonded zone, an airport industrial zone and an aviation town. 

Baiyun has also accelerated the construction of high-end aviation supporting facilities, introduced Chinese and foreign aviation headquarter enterprises, set up a headquarter economic agglomeration area, a public service area and a supporting services area and forged an industrial cluster integrating aviation logistics, trade and exhibition, cross-border e-commerce, aviation maintenance and aircraft leasing for boosting the airport economy.
