Baiyun airport sees surge in intl passengers
The passenger flow at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has been steadily increasing as the 133rd Canton Fair approaches, local media outlets reported on April 11.
According to the Baiyun border inspection station, since the National Immigration Administration adjusted its visa and entry policies for foreigners on March 15, the daily number of inbound and outbound passengers at the airport has ranked second among all airports in the country. The majority of these passengers are from Asia-Pacific countries and regions, such as Malaysia, Australia, India, South Korea, and Singapore.
The border inspection station at Baiyun has been actively analyzing trends in passenger growth and has opened additional inspection channels during peak periods to ensure smooth clearance for travelers.
In the future, the number of inbound and outbound passengers is expected to continue to rise, and the Baiyun border inspection station will further improve its guarantee work for foreign merchants attending the 133rd Canton Fair, enhance the efficiency of entry and exit procedures for both Chinese and foreign personnel, and ensure the port's safety and smooth operation.
