After 573 days of construction, the 110,000-square-meter Guangzhou Yunzhu Hotel in the center of Baiyun New City has been opened to the public.

The hotel, which is a key component of the second phase of the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center and was developed by academician He Jingtang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, primarily accommodates visitors from regional businesses and governments.

The project includes 200,000 square meters of floor space and includes four buildings for a five-star hotel, a four-star hotel, a unique hotel building, and a sizable banquet hall, and the hotels have a total of 1,600 guest rooms. Visitors can enjoy a view of the beautiful cityscape and Baiyun Mountain.

Typical Lingnan cultural elements were integrated into the overall design and decorating of the hotel. Intangible cultural heritage handicrafts such as wood carvings and bronze paintings are also on display in the hotel.

The hotel has a 10.9-meter-high banquet hall that can accommodate people's needs for contemporary business and convention. The hotel also has a multi-function area that can accommodate 1,000 people.

The hotel said it plans to bring in well-known hotels from across the world to run the project to transform it into a high-end urban hotel.
