Baiyun ranks 7th in China's new smart city & district ranking
In the latest ranking of China's new smart cities (SMILE Index), Baiyun district ranked seventh, which is another high affirmation to the progress made by the "Smart Baiyun" initiative.
This year, the global smart city assessment covered 804 cities worldwide, spanning most countries. It lasted nearly 10 months and was conducted by over 40 global experts and scholars in the digital economy and smart city fields.
The most significant change in the strategy for Baiyun's smart city construction is the extensive application of digitization. Currently, Baiyun has comprehensively improved the coverage and quality of its information infrastructure and digital governance framework.
Its handling efficiency for various government services has also improved, which contributes to the accelerated development of the district's digital economy industry.
