Baiyun's GDP hits $28b from Q1 to Q3

In the first three quarters of 2023, Baiyun district's GDP reached nearly 199 billion yuan ($28 billion), marking annualized growth of 7.3 percent, and ranking among the top districts in Guangzhou.
Key projects there have been progressing rapidly and will contribute to Baiyun's year-end goals.
A groundbreaking ceremony for Guangzhou Vigo Group's research and manufacturing base project for automotive parts took place on Nov 20.
With an investment of 1 billion yuan, the project will build modern factories and become a research and manufacturing base for high-precision automotive electrical assembly parts.
It is expected to start production in December 2025 with an annual output value in excess of 6 billion yuan.
