Tangshaweng
Tangshaweng stands out as a quintessential Chinese New Year's delicacy in Guangzhou's Baiyun district. Following the frying process, it undergoes an application of a pristine layer of white sugar, resembling the distinguished appearance of an elderly individual with white hair, hence earning the name "Tangshaweng."
Today, Tangshaweng has evolved into a cherished Cantonese-style snack, resembling a crafted puff generously coated in sugar. Its aromatic essence, reminiscent of eggs, complements its sweet and crispy texture.
