Two companies from Baiyun district, Lehe Food Group and Southern Air Logistics, made it to the "2024 Global Unicorn List," which was announced during the 10th China (Guangzhou) International Investment conference from April 8 to 9.
A total of 24 companies from Guangzhou made it to the "2024 Global Unicorn List," with the city ranking 9th globally and 4th nationally.
Lehe Food Group, established in 2006 and located on Jinsha Street, focuses on building a complete food commercial ecosystem. As a leading enterprise in China's food supply chain service sector, the group has attracted multiple investment institutions and provided food supply services to thousands of units nationwide. The company aims to promote the standardization and regularization of the food supply chain industry and strive for a 50 percent or more year-on-year performance growth.
Southern Air Logistics, now the official operator of China Southern Airlines Group's cargo business, has ambitious plans for the future. With the country's largest fleet of wide-body cargo aircraft and ample belly cargo capacity, the company is poised to leverage the global air route network to create a multi-level air logistics product system and become a leader in international air logistics.
In recent years, Baiyun has been in a phase of rapid development, with the regional GDP surpassing 280 billion yuan ($38.67 billion) in 2023, ranking third in the city in terms of growth rate. Both the number of enterprises and their development levels in Baiyun have reached historic highs. Looking ahead, it is hoped that more unicorn companies will emerge from Baiyun in the future.
