Progress update on construction of Guangzhou Metro
Recently, the construction of the Guangzhou Metro Line 13 Phase II has achieved a breakthrough in Baiyun district. The civil engineering of the line has reached 81 percent completion.
The breakthrough at the Tangxia Station D2 entrance marks a significant milestone for the station. This station will feature a total of seven entrances, with the D2 entrance utilizing the cut-and-cover method to reduce risks and improve efficiency during construction.
Currently, the civil engineering of the line has completed the roofing of 13 stations, with 10 stations undergoing civil construction. Also, mechanical-electrical installation and decoration construction have commenced at nine stations.
The metro transportation network in Baiyun is continuously expanding. Currently, Baiyun ranks first in the city in terms of operational subway mileage, with the Jiahe Wanggang Station consistently ranking among the top three in terms of passenger traffic volume within the Guangzhou Metro network.

In addition to Line 13 Phase II, Baiyun is involved in the construction of other subway lines, including Line 11, Line 12, Line 14 Phase II, and the northern extension branch line of Line 8 (from Jiniantang to Jiangfu).
The ongoing progress in these metro constructions will densify the transportation network in Baiyun, providing more convenient travel conditions for residents and businesses.
