Huawei's Guangzhou R&D Center to be finished by September
The Huawei Guangzhou Research and Developing (R&D) Center Phase I project has witnessed a milestone as the main structures of all nine tower buildings have been topped off recently. It is expected that the project will be completed and delivered by September this year.
The Huawei Guangzhou R&D Center Phase I project marks Huawei Technologies's first research and development base in Guangzhou. The project covers an area of approximately 119,300 square meters and includes eight research and development buildings, one hotel, one cooling tower, a guard room, and two levels of underground parking, with a capacity to accommodate approximately 5,000 research and development professionals.
The current construction progress of the project is steadily advancing, with the electromechanical and rough decoration of the office area and hotel already completed. The curtain walls and interior finishes of the office area are approximately 70 percent complete, and it is anticipated that by June this year, the curtain walls and interior finishes are expected to be fully installed, with outdoor landscaping reaching 90 percent completion. At that time, individual inspections are intended to be carried out. The project is expected to be completed and delivered by September this year.
It is planned to engage in research and development in areas such as smart cars, cloud computing, and the internet of things, accelerating the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across various industries in Guangzhou.
