The central area of Baiyun district is set to be developed into a comprehensive cultural tourism and trade service center, focusing on intensive development, industrial enhancement, and diverse livability.

Located at Junhe Street, this area is a crucial component of the city center, intersected by four rail transit lines and adjacent to the planned Baihai Wetland, with a total land area of 71.3 hectares.

As part of the development plan, there will be a concerted effort to transform underutilized land into commercially viable and new industrial land, residential-commercial mixed-use areas, residential zones, and various public service facilities, thereby optimizing land usage efficiency.

The aim is to establish a city-level public service center, creating a model area for the integrated development of industry and urban areas and an eco-friendly cultural, commercial, and tourism destination.

Baiyun is set to establish a north-south axis green park. Around the park and on both sides of the waterfront, sports parks, art markets, science parks, cultural squares, and other essential nodes are set to be arranged to jointly create Guangzhou's "green beauty central" business card.

Baiyun aims to implement a wide array of comprehensive public service facilities, such as medical care centers, neighborhood centers, cultural and sports complexes, industrial service centers, and municipal facility complexes. The project envisions the establishment of a total of 86 public service facilities, spanning district maternal and child health hospitals, district science museums, community fitness centers, and kindergartens, among others.

The plan endeavors to create a demonstration area for the integration of industry and urban development, as well as the harmonization of urban and rural landscapes, with the goal of evolving into a multifaceted destination renowned for its ecological, cultural, commercial, and tourism offerings.
