Vibrant array of art and cultural events held in Baiyun
Baiyun district is filled with a raft of captivating art and cultural activities in May.
The Guangdong Art Academy's exquisite exhibition "Brilliance of Lingnan" showcases the unique charm of the academy. It is divided into two main chapters: one narrating the history through images and the other passing down artistic traditions, presenting a wonderful collection of collective and individual creations that reflect the aesthetic characteristics of the times and popular forms of artistic expression.
The Guangzhou International Art Fair is one of the earliest art fairs established in China. This year's edition, based on the theme of blooming flowers, will exhibit numerous masterpieces by famous artists, including those who have made their names in traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy, oil painting, watercolors, and sculptures.
Furthermore, the art exhibition of the 2023 China Animation and Comic Competition Golden Dragon Award for youth and children is being held at Baiyun Library. By displaying a series of outstanding works, the exhibition showcases the charm of traditional culture, allowing people to appreciate Chinese poetry and literature from a child's perspective.
The four-act stage play "The Train" is adapted from chapter four of the second volume of Zhang Guangtian's novel "Chasing the Future," featuring a poignant love story that has captivated many audiences.
Baiyun offers not only beautiful natural scenery but also a rich variety of cultural activities, providing people with a feast for both the eyes and soul.
