Series of new recreational projects to be launched in Baiyun
On May 18, representatives of the Baiyun Lake Water Recreation Project signed a contract during the cultural tourism industry exchange and promotion event in Baiyun district. In total, 11 major Baiyun cultural tourism industry projects were signed into effect.
The project is located on the east side of Baiyun Lake. Although the Baiyun Lake boats have been popular since they began being offered in 2011, further development of recreational projects is needed. The new project will introduce activities such as pleasure boats, leisure camping boats, and karting boats to enrich the water recreational offering at Baiyun Lake.

In the future, three pleasure boats designed in the Lingnan style will be introduced as part of the project, each accommodating 14 passengers. Visitors will be able to cruise around the lake following a planned route, immersing themselves in local dragon boat culture, Cantonese Opera culture, and historical relics and culture.
Plans also include creating a fishing park that combines entertainment and sports competitions to cater to the diverse needs of visitors and enhance their recreational experience.
Baiyun Lake is known as the "Little West Lake of Guangzhou" and is one of the largest artificial lakes in the city center. In recent years, the scenery at Baiyun Lake has become increasingly charming, with the Baiyun Lake Digital Technology City project accelerating its development.
