As the new academic year approaches, Baiyun district is excited to announce the opening of two new schools this September: Yanletian Memorial Middle School and Guangzhou Zhujiang Senior High School.

Yanletian Memorial Middle School is reopening with both middle and high school programs, thanks to the support from Guangzhou Tieyi Middle School. Established in 1956, the school stopped operations in 2019 but is now back with upgraded facilities. The school has finished renovating its old buildings, which include classrooms, dining halls, sports fields, and dormitories. It plans to hold an opening ceremony on Sept 1. This reopening will add 514 public school places to Baiyun.

Guangzhou Zhujiang Senior High School is a new private high school. The school has a 400-meter standard sports field, indoor basketball and tennis courts, a heated swimming pool, and a library. The school has already begun the National Defense Education Week for new high school students. It aims to provide targeted education through specialized classes and a dual-mentoring system.

Both schools are committed to improving educational quality through upgraded facilities, strong teams of faculty, and an emphasis on creating a nurturing and innovative learning environment. The opening of these schools marks a significant step forward in providing high-quality education to the residents of Baiyun.
