Baiyun Lake Avenue, a crucial thoroughfare in Baiyun, has undergone a significant transformation, enhancing its functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Stretching approximately 9.6 kilometers from Huangshi East Road to Shisha Road, it serves as a key connection between Baiyun New City and Baiyun Lake Digital Technology City.

The comprehensive upgrade, completed at the end of last year, involved a total investment of around 540 million yuan ($75.6 million). Key improvements include road widening, smart infrastructure, building facades, and landscaping. The road has been expanded from four to six lanes, with a design speed of 50 km per hour. It now features dedicated lanes for non-motorized vehicles, improving traffic flow and safety.

Smart infrastructure enhancements include the installation of intelligent bus stops, electronic bus signs, smart pedestrian crossings, and AI-controlled traffic lights. These upgrades aim to create a more efficient and pleasant travel experience for people.

Building facades along the avenue have been revitalized, with 353 buildings receiving aesthetic upgrades. Themed sections such as commercial, residential, cultural, and research areas now boast modern and cohesive designs, enhancing the overall visual appeal of Baiyun.

Landscaping efforts have transformed the avenue into a vibrant urban corridor featuring themed plants, public sports facilities, and recreational areas. These green spaces beautify the environment and provide residents with enjoyable leisure spots.
