The race featured routes of 40 kilometers, 20 km and 10 km – passing through scenic spots such as the Ancient Temple Square and Tianhu Lake. Some routes are also connected to typical villages like Baishan village.

The event is a distinctive trail running competition with local Lingnan cultural characteristics, positioned as an entry-level trail running series and part of the International Vertical Marathon Series IP.

It focuses on short to medium-distance trail running, providing urban youths with a platform to transition from city life to nature while promoting environmental conservation.

During the race, participants enjoyed the red maple leaves, observed the Tianhu micro wetlands and experienced the forest trails, appreciating the beauty of Maofeng Mountain. They also had the opportunity to explore local village customs and the glorious scenery.

The organizers highlighted that this was the third time the vertical marathon had been held at Maofeng Mountain. Maofeng Mountain, with its rich natural environment and abundant negative ions, remains a top choice for outdoor activities and weekend leisure.
