Intl buyers gather in Baiyun for business opportunities
The Baiyun district of Guangzhou hosted the Canton Fair Business Tour on Oct 27, attracting international buyers from countries such as the United Kingdom, Russia, and Guinea. The event focused on the leather goods and cosmetics industries, with international buyers visiting key commercial hubs like Zhonggang Leather City and Baiyun Meiwan Plaza.

Paul, a British buyer, expressed his satisfaction with the quality and design of the leather products, stating, "I am very pleased with the design and quality of these products. If customization is available, I will make purchases here." Miss Zhu, a Chinese buyer, was impressed by the fashion-forward designs and high quality of the products, noting that some local companies even collaborate with international brands like Disney.
Baiyun is renowned for its extensive leather goods market and has nearly 700 brands in Zhonggang Leather City alone, with an annual transaction exceeding 3 billion yuan ($420 million). Baiyun's products are popular nationwide and exported to Europe, America, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and the Middle East.
In addition to leather goods, Baiyun is a major hub for the cosmetics industries, with over 1,300 cosmetics manufacturers representing nearly one-fifth of the national total. Baiyun is also home to well-known brands such as Danzi Wetcode, Adolph, Carslan, and Wetherm and features the Baiyun Meiwan Plaza, a specialized market for cosmetics.
