Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station has announced its train operations and infrastructure updates, effective Nov 6. 

The updated schedule for the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Intercity Railway includes 167 intercity trains from Shenzhen Station, an increase of 13 trains, with 122 trains to Guangzhou East Railway Station and 45 to Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station. With this adjustment, direct trains between Shenzhen and Guangzhou East Station run 16 times daily, up from 12, and reduce travel time to one hour.

To address the increased demand for late-night travel and transfers during peak periods, such as the Spring Festival and holidays, a total of 12 new nighttime trains will be introduced. This includes five direct train services aimed at enhancing passenger convenience.

The Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station hub project has made significant progress with the Jiangli Connecting Line, which has passed static acceptance and entered the joint test phase. This 10.3-kilometer line connects Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station to Jiangcun West Line, crucial in linking the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway with other northern lines. This project is projected to facilitate faster and more convenient travel between Guangzhou and Zhanjiang, with a travel time of merely 90 minutes.

Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station is also a comprehensive commercial complex. The upcoming Yuesheng Plaza, over 300,000 square meters, is set to feature diverse commercial spaces, including retail, dining, and entertainment, projected to open this year.
