Baiyun launches new energy storage industrial park
The Guangzhou municipal bureau of industry and information technology has released a plan to establish three new energy storage industrial parks in Baiyun, Huangpu, and Huadu districts, positioning the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as a leader in new energy storage and power systems.
The Baiyun District New Energy Storage Industrial Park is set to become a major hub, contributing to the district's goal of creating a trillion-yuan new energy storage industry cluster. Baiyun has focused on developing new energy and storage industries, establishing a layout that combines headquarters research and development with advanced manufacturing bases. The park will feature key areas such as the National-Local Joint New Energy Storage Center in Baiyun New City and the Baiyun Lake Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Park, covering approximately 333.3 hectares.

The park aims to build a comprehensive innovation base for the entire new energy storage industry chain, focusing on electrochemical, mechanical, superconducting, and thermal energy storage. By 2027, the park's revenue is expected to reach 25 billion yuan ($3.5 billion), and by 2030, it aims to achieve 55 billion yuan, supporting Baiyun's trillion yuan industry cluster goal.
