Construction begins on key projects in Baiyun

On Dec 28, construction started on six major key projects in Junhe Street, Baiyun district.

These projects include the construction of the Baiyun Calligraphy and Painting Museum, Baiyun Research and Study Center, and Nanling Automobile Hongqi Junhe Store, the development of land reserved for the Qinghu Bleaching and Dyeing Factory, the Pingsha Songyuan Street renovation project, the collective transformation of old factory buildings in Suyuanzhuang area, and the branch line-over-deck project of the Metro Line 8 north extension section - parking lot. The total expected investment exceeds 4 billion yuan ($548.07 million).

The Baiyun Calligraphy and Painting Museum and Baiyun Research and Study Center project is located on the east side of Pinghe Daya in Junhe Street, covering a combined area of about 18 mu (1.2 hectares), with a planned construction area of over 20,000 square meters and a total planned investment of 120 million yuan.

The project will integrate traditional cultural arts and tourism attractions in Baiyun, creating cultural experience routes and historical research courses to help protect, vitalize, and pass on both tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

In recent years, Baiyun has been committed to bolstering its cultural appeal and facilitating the integrated development of traditional cultural arts and tourism attractions.

The  project is expected to closely integrate with the cultural tourism industry chain, leading to the development of an ecosystem and education, cultural creation, and tourism consumption scenarios to promote the development of the cultural tourism industry chain, driving the participation of small and medium-sized cultural tourism enterprises in the district's development.

Junhe Street will promote the development of surrounding cultural tourism industries and work to attract more high-quality projects.
