The China State Railway Group will optimize and adjust the Guangzhou-Shenzhen intercity train schedule from March 7.

Guangzhou Baiyun Station will add three pairs of direct intercity trains to Shenzhen, reducing the average travel interval between Baiyun district, Guangzhou and Shenzhen to 33 minutes and increasing travel efficiency by 13.2 percent.

The capacity of the main transportation route between Guangzhou and Shenzhen has been increased, with the total number of trains operating on the line expanded to 89.5 pairs. Three additional "on-the-hour direct" trains have been introduced between Guangzhou East and Shenzhen Stations, reducing the total commute time to one hour.

Additionally, Xintang Station is set to have 11 more train stops, providing differentiated services to meet passengers' diverse travel needs.

This adjustment is expected make transportation between Guangzhou and Shenzhen more convenient and efficient.
