Guangzhou-Huadu Intercity Railway makes new progress
The construction of the Guangzhou-Huadu Intercity Railway has made significant progress, with the country's first parallel large-diameter shield tunnel with minimum clear distance entering the comprehensive excavation phase.
The civil engineering work of the Guangzhou-Huadu Intercity Railway (from Guangzhou East Railway Stationto Huadu Tiangui) has reached 43 percent completion. Among the seven stations, two have been capped, five are undergoing civil construction, and all seven sections are undergoing civil construction, with 20 shield machines in operation.

Simultaneously, the twin-line shield tunnels from Guangzhou East Station to Jingxi Road Station have started excavation, with the right line spanning 2,709 meters through complex terrain.
The Guangzhou-Huadu Intercity Railway starts from Guangzhou East Station. It ends at Huacheng Street Station in Huadu, with seven new stations along a 39.6-km route designed for a speed of 160 kilometers per hour.
The Guangzhou-Huadu Intercity Railway will operate cross-line with the Fangbai Intercity Railway and connect with Metro Line 18, becoming one of the key routes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
