Global partners gather in Baiyun to explore investment opportunities

The "Invest in Guangzhou" Global Partners New Year Exchange was held on Jan 8 at the Design Hall in Guangzhou Design Capital.

During the event, Baiyun district highlighted its remarkable achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), with its economy nearing 330 billion yuan ($45.9 billion) and cumulative fixed-asset investments exceeding 600 billion yuan. The district has attracted over 1,200 high-quality projects totaling 570 billion yuan in investment, including major initiatives such as the Huawei Guangzhou R&D Center and the Zhengjia Maofeng Bay project.

Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30), Baiyun district is leveraging its strengths in industry, space, demographic dividends, and market vitality. The district is advancing a modern industrial cluster exceeding 700 billion yuan in scale, with plans to release nearly 10,000 mu (666.67 hectares) of industrial land and over 10 million square meters of commercial space in the coming years. As Guangzhou's fastest-growing district by population, Baiyun continues to attract a young, dynamic workforce, driving robust consumption and innovation.

Companies like Yuanfeng Intelligent and Saite Intelligent demonstrated cutting-edge products such as conference guide robots and smart cleaning robots, aiming to attract investment for broader market applications. Global partners expressed strong confidence in Baiyun's solid industrial foundation, abundant space, and business-friendly environment, underscoring the district's potential as a premier investment destination.
