Jiaomen Park, which is located near the Jiaomen River in Guangzhou's Nansha district, is expected to pass the completion acceptance and open to the public in May.
Covering a total area of 28.5 hectares, the park is about 1.4 kilometers in length from the north side to the south side. The construction of the park started in May 2019 and cost an overall investment of about 100 million yuan ($14.13 million).
A special pathway for cycling spanning about 2.3 kilometers in length has been built in the park. Facilities, such as pavilions and chairs for people to relax in, are set up in the park. Four toilets are also available in the park.
"The arrangement of Jiaomen Park has added design elements on the basis of its original layout, realizing the harmony between human and nature," said the designer of the park. Old pavilions with special Lingnan cultural elements were preserved in the park.
