Guangzhou's Nansha district signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Hainan province to form an alliance on government affairs service on Oct 28 in Nansha.
Both sides will deepen communication and cooperation in areas spanning service innovation, business service, financial investment, talent service, and policy implementation to bring more convenience for companies and people handling inter-provincial affairs, as well as to promote the innovative and integrated development of government service in Hainan and Nansha.
Dong Ke, mayor of Nansha district, said that Hainan province is the largest special economic zone and pilot free trade zone in China, as well as the only free trade port with distinctive Chinese features countrywide. The cooperation in government affairs service between Hainan and Nansha not only enjoys a solid foundation, but also has vast development opportunities.
Ma Wanrong, deputy director of the Hainan Province People's Government Affairs Service Center, said that the cooperation will be beneficial for the deep integration and complementing of government affairs service between the free trade port and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The first batch of two business licenses issued by the alliance was given to two companies during the event, marking the official start of the Hainan-Nansha strategic cooperation in government affairs.
"Hainan companies who want to invest in Nansha now only need to hand in relevant materials for registering a company in Nansha at the service windows in Hainan, and then staff members from Hainan government affairs service centers will help us get business licenses. We no longer need to go to Nansha to handle these affairs, which may cost a lot in time and money," said Jiang Tiantian, a legal representative from one of the companies getting the first two licenses.
