The launching ceremony for phase II of Nansha's "hundreds of enterprises and thousands of talents" internship program for university students from Hong Kong and Macao was held on July 17.
About 350 participants, including representatives from the internship bases for Hong Kong and Macao youths and the students themselves, attended the event.
The second phase of this program involved approximately 173 Hong Kong and Macao youths from renowned universities such as Tsinghua and Peking universities. They will embark on a six-week internship in Nansha's government departments, financial institutions and State-owned enterprises.
The district plans to collaborate with prominent universities in South China, such as Sun Yat-sen University and Jinan University, to attract more Hong Kong and Macao youths for internship, employment and innovation purposes.
Since the program launched in 2016, it has attracted nearly 2,100 Hong Kong and Macao students to take part in internships in Nansha. It is gradually becoming a platform for these youths to fulfill their dreams in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
