The high-level and intelligent integrated hospital on the Nansha campus of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University was put into operation in Nansha in March.
Currently, it has four types of drugs listed in Hong Kong and Macao that have obtained approval to be imported into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as urgently needed clinical drugs.
In addition, two top-level hospitals, the Nansha branch of the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center (Nansha), will soon open in the city.
Nansha will then serve as home to seven high-level medical institutions, and its first-class medical services will be better radiated throughout the Greater Bay Area.
The area has leveraged its comprehensive advantages to explore and establish a high-quality healthcare system for coordinated development, ensuring a vibrant and internationally competitive world-class city cluster.
This has laid a solid foundation for further collaboration in healthcare services, research, and industry among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
