Weekend fun in Nansha draws in thousands of visitors

The 3rd Pearl Bay Music Festival was held at Shuiwu Square on Lingshan Island in Nansha on Nov 18 and 19. The opening day of the festival attracted more than 6,000 visitors.

The first Beautiful Life Carnival was simultaneously held in Hengli town, Nansha, that same weekend. The main venue of this event was set up on Lingshan Island, covering a variety of activities such, as a kite-flying contest, a corn festival, hiking and cycling activities, and agricultural experiences.

The kite-flying contest saw the participation of 24 outstanding teams that showcased their skills. The High School Affiliated to Guangzhou University organized nine teams to participate, adding more youthful vitality to the event.

In addition, on Nov 18, more than 30 young people from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao visited Nansha Wetland Park and went kayaking along the river. They learned about Wanqingsha town's achievements in water quality restoration and wetland ecological protection.
