Nansha Tianhou Palace hosts cultural carnival during New Year holiday

Guangzhou's Nansha district hosted a carnival at Nansha Tianhou Palace, which lasted from 19:30 on Dec 31, 2023, to 24:00 on Jan 1, 2024, showcased the essence of Chinese culture, such as Mazu culture, through unique forms including singing, dancing, and interactive activities.

Using fantastic light techniques, the Mazu-themed light show guided visitors to experience the ancient charm of Mazu culture and embark on a fantastic journey through time and space.

There were exciting performances such as the qilin dance, hanfu fashion show, and electric music festival. Meanwhile, a large stage was set up for the visitors to showcase their diverse talents, creating a lively atmosphere.

In addition to the dazzling performances, there was a one-stop market with five main themes, including intangible cultural heritage items, local agricultural products, and public services. Over 30 booths were arranged around Nansha Tianhou Palace, allowing visitors to enjoy shopping, delicious food, and access to public services.
