The second session of the 13th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the second session of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress opened from January 22 to 23.
At the meeting, it was mentioned that the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be promoted in the new stage. Nansha will promote the construction of significant cooperation platforms and deepen the regulations on cooperation in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. Nansha has settled in nearly 3,000 Hong Kong and Macao enterprises, with a total investment of over $100 billion.
Currently, 19 routes have been opened under the "Bay Area One Port Pass" project in Nansha. The project has covered a total of 300,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of imported and exported goods and provided a stable international logistics corridor for more than 2,000 companies.
It has formed a port group with Nansha Port as the hub port and branch ports, which includes Pearl River inland Wharfs such as Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Yunfu and Zhongshan, Dongguan and mainland railway dry ports such Guiyang, Zhuzhou and Hengyang.
Nansha will continue to support enterprises using various transportation methods such as shipping ships, small ships, and railways to gather Nansha Port. Guangzhou Customs supports the sustainable development of cross-border e-commerce and helps ports like Nansha build a global return center to facilitate large e-commerce enterprises like Pinduoduo.
Nansha will achieve a multi-point layout by establishing Greater Bay Area offices and contact points. Using as a bridge to promote trade between Southeast Asia and the GBA, Nansha also gives full play to its breakthrough and leading role as a highland for institutional innovation system integration.
