Nansha motorcycle brand shines at Africa Cup of Nations

APSONIC, a motorcycle brand under the headquarters enterprise Sincerity Holdings Group in Guangzhou's Nansha district, shone brightly at the opening ceremony of the 34th Africa Cup of Nations.

From 2005 to 2023, Sincerity Holdings Group has sold over 3 million motorcycles in Africa, with its market share ranking first among all motorcycle brands in the seven countries of West Africa, and reaching 70 percent in the tricycle market. Motorcycles produced by this company have become the mainstream in the African market.

In 2002, Zhang Lian, head of the company, happened to hear from fellow countrymen about the substantial demand for motorcycles in the African market while in transit in South Africa. This prompted him to take actions and set out to export a small quantity of motorcycles via sea freight. To his surprise, the motorcycles were highly sought after, with containers being quickly emptied upon arrival. This marked the opening of the African market for the company.

In 2015, Sincerity Holdings Group relocated its corporate headquarters to Nansha, where it constructed a technology center, office buildings, and factory facilities. In 2022, Decheng was recognized as Nansha's headquarters enterprise.

Nansha has an advantageous geographical location. As the geometric center of the Pearl River Delta, the district has a developed waterway and land transportation network. Moreover, Nansha Port offers fast customs clearance services, saving transportation costs and time for enterprises. 

In addition, Nansha has introduced policies to support enterprise development, benefiting Sincerity Holdings Group. By 2023, the company developed into a group with 19 subsidiaries and over 1,500 employees, with products selling over 16 African countries.

Of note, Sincerity Holdings Group has provided nearly 50,000 jobs to local African communities. The cumulative investment in social welfare in Africa exceeds 50 million yuan ($7 million).
