The Art Exhibition of Lantern Sculpture opened at Nansha Innovation Bay on the evening of Feb 6, lasting for 20 days.

The design incorporates two core elements: First, the local specialties of Nansha are placed in a huge basket symbolizing harvest, which means good weather and good harvests every year. Secondly, the Qilin Dance, an intangible cultural heritage of Nansha, does not only shows the charm of intangible cultural heritage, but also adds an auspicious and festive atmosphere to the Spring Festival.

The local specialties of Nansha that are well known to Guangzhou citizens, such as Nansha blue crab and sunflower chicken have been transformed into various lanterns, especially the lanterns symbolizing the Qilin. The dancing lights are all very lifelike.

All the elements of animals involved in the lamps can move. Devices such as voice recognition intelligent interactive sensors are added to the traditional lamp-making technology, realizing the innovation of "intangible cultural heritage + technology".

By then, tourists who come to enjoy the lanterns can see the Qilin turning its head, the blue crab dancing its limbs, and the shrimp stretching its body, which is full of dynamics.
