The investment promotion bureau of Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone reached a strategic cooperation agreement with Donlink Group and Syngenta Group at the Guangzhou-Germany Economic and Trade Cooperation Roundtable Forum on Feb 20.

Nansha district has advantages in location, policy, and industrial base due to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Upon the deal, Donlink is expected to team up with Syngenta and leverage the advantages to promote the establishment of the International High-end Agricultural Products Trading and Distribution Centre of the Greater Bay Area (GBA), which is poised to operate in Nansha.

Additionally, Guangdong held its provincial high-quality development conference on Feb 18, during which BASF (China) signed an agreement of cooperation with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). It is the world's top 500 chemical company with 25 years of operation in Nansha. With implementing the agreement, more high-end talents from the university in the district will be introduced into BASF (China) and cultivated in the direction of new materials.

On Feb 20, an investment promotion conference held by Nansha also took place in Germany. It is an integral part of the 10th China (Guangzhou) Annual International Investment Conference. The district aims to build a major strategic platform based on the GBA, synergizing with Hong Kong and Macao and facing the world.

In addition to Germany, the Nansha investment delegation will head to Italy to expand international cooperation. The annual investment conference will be held in April 2024, and the Nansha branch venue will be held synchronously.
