Nansha chef invited to promote Cantonese cuisine in Brazil

A Chinese food expo will be held in Rio de Janeiro for a more profound food culture exchange, as the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between China and Brazil approaches.

Ma Tujia, a master chef of Guangzhou's Nansha district's LN Garden Hotel, specializing in making dim sums, will represent the district's participation.

For over 30 years, Ma has dedicated himself to innovating Guangdong dim sums, a testament to his unwavering passion and commitment. His skill in utilizing Nansha's specialties for creation is unparalleled.

He has innovated various Nansha-style dim sums, including the unique Xiaohu Shrimp Dumplings, Red Banana Cake, Sweet Potato Balls with Cheese, and Xinken Lotus Root Cake.

Ma's participation in the expo is about promoting Nansha-style dim sums and combining them with local specialties. It's about the potential for international inspiration and further innovation in Nansha cuisine. This China-Brazil food culture exchange holds the promise of a brighter, more diverse culinary future for Nansha.

Beyond the food culture exchange, Nansha fosters friendly international relationships through various activities. Today, the district proudly maintains friendly cooperation and exchange relations with five cities (or districts) across Asia, South America, and Europe. Looking ahead to 2024, Nansha is poised to strengthen these ties and expand its global reach.
