In the scope of the Guangzhou-Macao Expressway project, the foundation piles of the Hailong Bridge were drilled, with plans to complete the construction of the new bridge by the end of 2026. The project covers a distance of approximately 50.4 kilometers and commenced construction in November 2022, with plans for full completion and opening to traffic in 2027.

The construction of these projects will contribute to Nansha becoming a Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Transportation Center.
