Recently, the transportation projects in Nansha have seen new developments. The Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway, Shiziyang Channel, and the Guangzhou-Macao Expressway expansion and renovation project have progressed.

On March 12, the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway entered the tower construction stage, expecting to complete the tower by the end of November this year. As an important part of China's high-speed railway network along the coast, the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway includes seven stations: Shenzhen Xili, Shenzhen Airport East, Dongguan Binhai Bay, Nansha, Zhongshan North, Henglan, and Jiangmen stations.

The steel shell of the eastern pylon of the Shiziyang Bridge was hoisted. The main span of the Shiziyang Bridge is 2,180 meters long and is a key control project of the Shiziyang Channel, with plans for completion and opening to traffic in 2028.

In the scope of the Guangzhou-Macao Expressway project, the foundation piles of the Hailong Bridge were drilled, with plans to complete the construction of the new bridge by the end of 2026. The project covers a distance of approximately 50.4 kilometers and commenced construction in November 2022, with plans for full completion and opening to traffic in 2027.
The construction of these projects will contribute to Nansha becoming a Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Transportation Center.
