The Nansha Primary and Secondary School Students Tennis Competition was held at the Nansha International Tennis Center on March 18.
The three-day event saw the participation of hundreds of players and a total of 484 matches. It resulted in the emergence of 16 individual and team champions, setting a new record. The competition utilized the "Hawk-Eye" system and was broadcast live on various platforms.
This year's competition saw a record number of participating teams and individuals divided into five categories: high school, junior high school, and primary school groups A, B, and C. Additionally, the mixed doubles event was split into men's and women's doubles, providing more opportunities for players to showcase their skills.
Outstanding performances were delivered by South China Normal University Affiliated Nansha Middle School, Minxin Hong Kong School (Guangzhou Nansha), and Guangzhou Foreign Language School Affiliated Institutions, each securing the first-place position in their respective categories.
Since its establishment in 2019, the competition has steadily increased in scale and level, becoming an influential youth tennis event in Guangzhou, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and even across the country. The growth in the number of young tennis players in Nansha district demonstrates the increasing appeal of Nansha as a rising star in the region.
