Nansha hosts celebratory event for 75th anniversary of People's Navy

On April 22, the launch ceremony of the event celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy was held at the near-sea terminal of Guangzhou Port. The Guangzhou destroyer and the Aba destroyer were prominently displayed, attracting many citizens to visit.

On April 23, the navy held open camp activities in cities such as Qingdao, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beihai, and Zhanjiang, organizing various types of active-duty naval vessels to meet the public. The public had face-to-face exchanges with maritime officers and experienced the unique naval culture, such as knot tying and flag signaling.

Despite the influence of rainy weather, the enthusiasm of the visitors remained high, and they sent their best wishes to the navy of Guangzhou destroyer. Among the visitors were not only the elderly, young students, and children but also some people who wore naval uniforms in advance to express their respect for the Navy.

The Guangzhou destroyer is a newly developed type of missile destroyer in China. It has excellently completed major combat training tasks such as the 60th-anniversary naval parade, escort missions in the Gulf of Aden, multinational naval, joint exercises, tracking and monitoring, and combat readiness duty since 2004.

The Guangzhou destroyer has visited more than 10 friendly countries, showcasing the vigorous demeanor of the People's Navy to the world.
