Vibrant tourism activities held in Nansha during May Day holiday

During this year's May Day holiday, Nansha offered over 60 cultural, tourism, and sports activities, which attracted a large number of visitors. The total number of tourists who visited the district peaked at 1.39 million, indicating a 21.72 percent rise compared to the same period last year.

Events such as the Nansha Mazu Cultural Tourism Festival, Guochao Market, Nansha Coffee Culture Week, Pink Dopamine Countryside Carnival, and the ATP Guangzhou Nansha International Tennis Challenge provided a diverse range of activities. Visitors experienced intangible cultural heritage, fashion shows, sports competitions, and more, making their stay unforgettable.

Nansha Tianhou Palace hosted the 16th Mazu Cultural Tourism Festival, featuring night tours, light shows, and performances, immersing visitors in a cultural extravaganza.

In Dongchong town, the Danjia Water Village National Tide Market event offered various programs and experiential activities, allowing visitors to experience the charm of the water village and national tide culture.

The ATP Guangzhou Nansha International Tennis Challenge has also concluded, with Australian player Schoolkate Tristan winning the men's singles and men's doubles championships, becoming a double champion.

Throughout the May Day holiday, many tourists visited the major scenic spots in Nansha. Attractions such as Nansha Tianhou Palace, Nansha Wetland, Nansha Water Bird World, Dongyong Water Village, Eighteen Arhats Mountain, and Nansha Pearl Agricultural Park received a cumulative total of 461,140 visitors, showcasing the vibrant development of Nansha's tourism market.
