During the May Day holiday, Guangzhou Nansha Port Container Terminal Company (Nansha Phase II) unloaded a large passenger aircraft, once again breaking the record for the size of oversized cargo in the Nansha Port area, showcasing the port's strong loading and unloading capabilities.

The fuselage, tail, and wings of the Airbus A320-231 aircraft, shipped from Los Angeles, the United States of America, need to be unloaded separately. With massive dimensions, the fuselage alone measures up to 33 meters in length, placing extremely high demands on the unloading capabilities of the port. Nansha Phase II had prior experience unloading a large passenger aircraft in early 2023.

Upon receiving the vessel's arrival notice and customer requirements, Nansha Phase II swiftly began preparations, analyzing the cargo's attributes and operational procedures and devising safe operational processes and emergency plans. The planning department obtained the aircraft's position in advance and optimized the vessel's berthing position, ensuring a smooth unloading process. Operational management personnel prepared ample tools and equipment, assigning experienced crane operators as unloading drivers and signalmen.

By effectively communicating, preparing thoroughly, and coordinating as a team throughout the entire process, the entire aircraft was safely and efficiently unloaded and loaded onto a trailer. Nansha Phase II safely and completed this unloading task.
